Ensuring that all citizens can fully participate in the information economy is a high priority for the Australian Government. The ability to access this technology is increasingly important for full participation in economic, political and social life.

Accessibility is strongly related to inclusive design which is an approach to the design of products, services and environments to be as usable as possible by as many people as possible regardless of age, ability or situation.
