There are specific requirements for some types of websites.
Caretaker Conventions
In the period preceding an election, the Australian Government assumes a caretaker role. During the caretaker period agencies are required to undertake additional steps when managing their websites.
Departmental Websites
The website of a department or agency.
Ministerial Websites
Ministerial websites can represent the Minister on behalf of the department or be a personal Ministerial website representing affiliations with political parties and ideals.
Intranets
An intranet is a private network which is deployed within an organisation. Intranets are primarily used to share information with internal staff.
Transactional Websites
Transactional websites allow information, communication and business transactions to be conducted using electronic and internet technology.
Whole-of-Government Websites and Portals
Whole-of-government websites provide a single point of access to a range of resources that are developed and maintained by many government agencies.
