Whole-of-Government Websites and Portals
Whole-of-government websites provide a single point of access to a range of resources that are developed and maintained by many government agencies.
Why Must I?
The Australian Government entry point is www.australia.gov.au. It provides links to government agency information and services and offers a whole-of-government search engine. Agencies should consider linking to this site in accordance with the Australia.gov.au: Governance Policy.
The Government Online Directory (Department of Finance and Deregulation) is a guide to the structure, organisations and key people in the Australian Government. At the December 2004 portfolio secretary’s meeting, it was agreed that Australian Government departments and agencies would review their information on at least a monthly basis, and update their information as necessary.
How Do I?
The Government Online Directory is maintained by a network of updaters located within Australian Government departments and agencies.
